This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Alts Data Analyst in India. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of alternative investment data, contributing to high-quality insights that power investment research and decision-making. You will manage and validate data on private funds, companies, and other non-public investments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across a proprietary research platform. Working closely with research and operations teams, you will help maintain data workflows, oversee security master records, and implement quality control processes. The position combines technical proficiency, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will play a critical part in transforming raw financial data into actionable intelligence for wealth managers, institutional investors, and research institutions.
Accountabilities
- Manage operational workflows for alternative investment data collection and processing
- Develop, implement, and maintain process controls and metrics to ensure data quality and integrity
- Partner with research teams to run data quality validations and support analysis initiatives
- Oversee security master and classification processes for alternative investment records
- Document processes, monitor workflow efficiency, and identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Support ad hoc research and reporting projects by providing accurate and timely data
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external data providers to resolve data discrepancies
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in the financial industry, securities modeling, post-trade processing, or trade surveillance systems
- 2+ years of experience in alternative investments is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through on complex tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams, clients, and custodial data providers
- Technical proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, SQL, Python (Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, PySpark), Databricks, Bloomberg, Pitchbook, or similar financial systems
- Experience documenting processes and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting, including Pune office presence for UK shift hours (2:30 PM - 11:30 PM IST)
