Job summary

CDJ Law Firm in Chennai seeks a junior advocate with 0-3 PQE to draft pleadings, contracts, opinions and other court papers. You will appear before various courts and tribunals and assist in litigation, arbitration, and corporate matters while gaining exposure to trial preparation and legal research.

Eligible candidates must be enrolled with the Bar Council and show eagerness to own matters and learn in a fast-paced legal environment.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years PQE.
• Must be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
• Demonstrated interest in litigation, arbitration, and legal drafting.
• Proactive attitude, strong willingness to learn, and ownership of legal matters.
• Ready to appear before various courts, tribunals, and legal forums.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, petitions, applications, written submissions, and other essential court documents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and comprehensive legal opinions.
• Appear regularly before Courts, Tribunals, and other judicial/quasi-judicial forums.
• Assist in managing complex litigation, domestic/international arbitration, and corporate transactional matters.
• Conduct exhaustive legal research and assist senior legal counsel in trial and hearing preparation.

About the Opportunity / Organizer

The firm regularly represents clients before the Madras High Court, NCLT/NCLAT, arbitral tribunals, civil and criminal courts, and various other judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
