Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Software Test Engineer to design, develop, and modify test cases and validate embedded software, cloud software, and system algorithms. You will automate tests and build device test environments, collaborating across engineering teams.

Primary focus includes testing graphics software stack and related tech such as touch, ML, multimedia; candidates should write and execute test cases, develop automation, and have hands-on with C/C++ and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Test Engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of Software Test Engineering experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans/tools.

Qualcomm Software Test Engineers collaborate across various engineering teams and functions to design and implement test plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.


• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.


• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

OR

• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).

The engineer’s role would be to support testing efforts for graphics SW stack and adjacent technologies like touch, ml, power, multimedia( (video, audio, camera, graphics, display). Primary responsibilities will be to write and execute testcases and device automation.

• Evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging and analysis.


• Candidate must be able to create test environments using software and hardware tools.


• Develop automation systems for executing tests and parsing results. The Engineer must have a good hands-on with automation - c/c++ programming and/or python programming

Required Qualifications:

• Expert in C/C++/Python programming


• Outstanding problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and team working skills.


• Physical presence in Qualcomm Bangalore office is expected for all 5 days.


• Experience with PC Gaming.
