Job summary

DBS Bank in Mumbai seeks an experienced data governance professional to develop and implement standards, controls, and accountability across a bank-wide data program. The role focuses on regulatory tracking, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication to executives and councils.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data governance or related PM roles, with strong analytical skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline.
• Experience in data management, data analysis, or database administration.
• Minimum of 6 years working experience in data management, data governance or project management roles.
• Experience in establishing and monitoring of data governance framework.
• Experience in AI governance is highly desirable.
• Experience in Privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of standards, controls, procedures, and accountability frameworks for data governance implementation across the organization.
• Ensure adherence to organization’s data governance framework and provide support in monitoring of data governance framework.
• Track emerging data regulations and trends, conduct gap analyses, and maintain a compliant and contemporary data governance program.
• Lead initiatives to address data issues and ensure effective data management practices.
• Communicating to senior stakeholders, gaps and proposed fixes through Data Councils and other forums
• Plan and drive consent management and compliance to DPDPA bank wide
