Job summary

Citco Group is seeking a Vice President/Assistant Vice President for Fund Accounting - Real Estate on a hybrid basis in Maharashtra. The role entails maintaining ledgers, overseeing complex fund structures and regulatory reporting, and coordinating across global teams.

You will mentor team members, monitor KPIs, and ensure service levels align with LPAs and PPMs, while driving continuous process improvements and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Finance desirable.
• Qualified accountant or working towards ACA/CA/ACCA/CPA designation.
• 7+ years of private/public accounting work experience desirable.
• 3+ years’ experience in Real Assets and Fund Accounting desirable.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP (US GAAP desirable).
• Experience with fund accounting systems like Yardi or Investran is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control the funds' general ledgers and sub-ledgers; ensure accuracy of entries.
• Coordinate with supervisors and accounting specialists within the fund accounting model.
• Prepare/ review financial statements (stand-alone and consolidated) and notes.
• Manage client capital activity processing and waterfall calculations.
• Prepare allocations,NAV packages and work papers as needed.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and investor reporting requirements.
• Serve as a liaison to auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel.

As a core member of our Fund Accounting - Real Estate team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Your Role

• Maintain and control the funds’ general ledgers and various sub-ledgers and take full ownership for the accuracy and completeness of standard and complex bookkeeping entries.
• Liaise with supervisors and/or accounting specialists locally and in outsourced services locations as part of an integrative fund accounting servicing model.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements (stand-alone, consolidated), footnotes and partner capital statements and liaise with other Citco teams, where applicable.
• Manage the client capital activity processing (capital calls/distributions/transfers) and review/prepare management fee & waterfall/carry calculations.
• Prepare limited partner and general partner allocations, NAV packages and work paper products.
• Oversee and/or prepare reports to local and foreign regulatory authorities and standard and bespoke investor reporting requirements.
• Operate as a contact point for clients: able to respond in a solution-orientated manner and resolve client queries timely or expand where necessary to the appropriate level of seniority.
• Act as liaison to various external stakeholders, i.e. auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel.
• Monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables and strive for continuous improvement.
• Review client Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), PPMs, and other materials and ensure service levels are in line with such legal documents.
• Manage and monitor client deliverables (SLAs) with your team and the client.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Work with onboarding solutions teams to implement new fund structures on accounting system.
• Interact with Management and improve customer experience.
• Mentor, coach and support team members in their professional development and participate in team goals settings and performance reviews.
• Translate Citco wide business objectives into SMART objectives and participate in the development of career plans for team members.

About You

• Degree in Business or Finance desirable
• Qualified accountant or working towards ACA, CA, ACCA or CPA designation.
• 7+ years of private/public accounting work experience desirable
• 3+ years’ experience in Real Assets and Fund Accounting desirable
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP (knowledge of US GAAP is desirable).
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting consolidation.
• Proven Fund Accounting system, Microsoft Word and Excel, and PowerPoint skills (knowledge of Yardi and/or Investran would be considered as an advantage).
• Ability to handle several deliverables and multiple stakeholders simultaneously and prioritize work based on deadlines.
• Eager to adopt and learn new technologies and Citco internal platforms/software.
• A motivated, bright and diligent individual and a team player who exhibits strong internal and external communication and writing skills.
• Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with tax-efficient European structures and related investment vehicles and regulatory requirements would be considered as an advantage.
