Job summary

The Corporate Institute in GIFT City, Gandhi Nagar, seeks an experienced Assistant Vice President – Compliance to lead regulatory compliance for the GIFT City branch. The role involves assessing regulatory impacts, advising Senior Management, and ensuring implementation of actions across business units.

You will interact with regulators, prepare governance materials, and support policy updates in coordination with departments to maintain robust compliance posture.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of banking experience.
• CA/MBA or professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of IFSCA and RBI regulations.

Responsibilities

• Handle Compliance aspects for GIFT City branch.
• Analyze Acts/Rules/Regulations and appraise compliance risks to Senior Management.
• Supervise dissemination of actions from new regulations and ensure implementation by Business units.
• Partner with Business Departments on regulatory aspects of products and processes and provide solutions.
• Approve new or review existing policy/circulars after ensuring guidelines are followed.
• Review major business and credit proposals from a regulatory compliance angle.
• Conduct compliance testing per monitoring plan; report to HO and track closures.
• Meet regulators to seek clarifications and approvals on regulations for products/services.
• Prepare speaking points/Action Taken Reports for committees (Audit Committee of Board/MD Dashboard).
• Handle compliance queries and approvals.
• Provide inputs for presentations/dashboards.
• Monitor and close regulatory observations from IAD, testing, and inspections.
• Approve and test new/change product notes per regs and gain sign-off.

Job Title: Assistant Vice President – Compliance

Responsibilities

• Handling Compliance aspects related to GIFT City branch.
• Analyzing impact of Acts/Rules/Regulations/Guidelines/Circulars and appraising the Senior Management about the Compliance Risks emanating from the regulations.
• Supervising dissemination of actionables emanating from new regulations and ensuring implementation by the respective Business units of the Bank.
• Partnering with Business Departments on various aspects of Regulations applicable to their Business and providing them solutions on matters referred by them in new and existing products and processes.
• Approval of any new/review of existing Policy/ Internal circulars/processes after ensuring all regulatory/internal guidelines have been complied.
• Review of major business proposals, credit proposals etc and providing inputs from regulatory compliance perspective.
• Compliance testing as per compliance monitoring plan, submission of the report to HO and tracking closure of observations.
• Meeting and communicating with the regulators for clarification on regulations and approvals for products/services.
• Submission of speaking points/Action taken report etc. for various committees like Audit Committee of Board /MD Dashboard etc.
• Handling of Compliance related queries and approvals.
• Providing relevant inputs for preparation of presentations /Dashboards.
• Monitoring and tracking of closure of regulatory observations emanating from IAD, Compliance Testing and Regulatory Inspection reports.
• Approval and testing of new/change product and process notes in line with relevant applicable regulations /internal policies and giving sign off to PMC/CMC notes.

Competencies Required

• Understanding of IFSCA and RBI regulations and guidelines.
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent spoken & written (Drafting) English skills.
• Proficiency & command in Excel, Word & PPT etc.

Academic Qualifications

• CA/ MBA/ Professional qualification.

Experience
