Job summary

Ex in Bangalore/Gurgaon seeks an Offshore Tech Lead with 12+ years of data engineering experience to guide a team of data engineers and BI developers, delivering Databricks, SQL, PySpark, and Power BI initiatives.

You will partner with business stakeholders to define roadmaps, own solution design and governance, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery while mentoring the team and shaping the platform's evolution.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of data engineering and data platform delivery in a client-facing environment.
• Hands-on Databricks, SQL, PySpark, modern data architecture, and Power BI expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong delivery governance with roadmap planning, estimation, and Agile execution.
• Proven mentoring ability to drive accountability and large-scale data/reporting programs.
• Expert-level knowledge of Data Engineering and Databricks.
• 4+ years of financial background.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, SQL, PySpark, modern data architecture, and Power BI, with the ability to review designs and guide technical decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage business leaders, conduct workshops, and present technical solutions in business terms.
• Strong solutioning, problem-solving, and delivery management capabilities, including roadmap planning, requirement analysis, estimation, and Agile execution.
• Proven ability to mentor teams, drive accountability, manage competing priorities, and successfully deliver large-scale data and reporting programs.
• Expert-level knowledge of Data Engineering
• Expert SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern data stacks Databricks
• Must have 4+ years of financial background.
