Job summary

Delhivery Limited in Tamil Nadu is seeking an Assistant Team Lead to support the Team Lead in daily inbound, outbound, sorting, loading and dispatch operations. You will supervise Process Executives, monitor productivity, and ensure priorities are met with adherence to SLAs and SOPs.

You will help drive safety, process compliance, and operational excellence, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to maintain smooth shipments and timely closures of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Lead in managing daily inbound, outbound, sorting, scanning, loading, and dispatch operations.
• Supervise Process Executives and allocate manpower based on operational requirements.
• Monitor team productivity, attendance, discipline, and shift-wise performance.
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately within the defined SLA/TAT and operational targets.
• Conduct shift huddles and communicate daily targets, process updates, and priorities to the team.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety guidelines, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor shipment accuracy and minimize errors, damages, misroutes, and process deviations.
• Resolve day-to-day operational issues and escalation critical concerns to the Team Lead or Operations Manager.
• Prepare and maintain daily MIS reports, productivity reports, and shift handover updates.
• Coordinate with internal teams, transporters, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Train, guide, and motivate team members to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper shift handover and timely closure of pending activities.
• Support manpower planning, productivity improvement, and process compliance.
• Maintain a safe, disciplined, and productive working environment.
• Take ownership of the shift in the absence of the Team Lead and ensure uninterrupted operations.
