Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Lead to oversee end-to-end construction project execution, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing schedules, mitigating risks, and driving operational excellence across the project lifecycle.

The candidate will guide multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, consultants, and senior management, conducting regular reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Project Management or Business Administration is preferred.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Project Lead to oversee the end-to-end execution of construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, mitigating risks, and driving operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.


Project Planning & Execution


  • Lead and manage the complete project lifecycle from planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.

  • Ensure project milestones are achieved within approved timelines and budgets.

  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address delays and risks.

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.


Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management


  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and quality functions.

  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance management to project team members.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and senior management.

  • Conduct regular review meetings and communicate project status, challenges, and mitigation plans.


Cost & Budget Management


  • Monitor project budgets, cash flows, and cost forecasts.

  • Review and approve project expenditures in line with budgetary guidelines.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value engineering initiatives.

  • Ensure proper management of project variations, claims, and change orders.


Quality & Compliance


  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices.

  • Monitor quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project execution.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.

  • Lead project audits, inspections, and project handover activities.


Risk Management


  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues impacting project performance.

  • Maintain risk registers and proactively address potential project challenges.


Reporting & Documentation


  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior leadership.

  • Track key project performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of project documentation, contracts, reports, and records.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

  • Master's degree in Project Management or Business Administration is preferred.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification will be an added advantage.


Required Experience


  • 10-15 years of experience in project management within construction, real estate, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects from inception to completion.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
