Job summary

McKinsey & Company in Gurugram is seeking a Chartered Accountant with a Master's degree to join the Finance Global Operations team. You will manage accounting, compliance and OPEX processes, supporting the office's financial integrity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across offices, implement KPI reporting, and drive automation initiatives such as OCR/RPA to improve efficiency and controls.

Qualifications

  • CA with a Master's degree
  • 3+ years post-qualification experience
  • 1+ year coordinating with cross-functional/multi-national stakeholders
  • Automation experience (OCR/RPA/analytics); AI preferable
  • Strong SAP, Excel and AI tools knowledge, with clear communication

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting, compliance, OPEX and audit processes for the office
  • Review and analyze office expenses; identify variances and improvements
  • Support internal/external audits; assist end-to-end accounting flows (P2P/O2C/R2R)
  • Identify automation opportunities; lead projects and ensure process stabilization
  • Collaborate with global offices and leadership to implement KPI-driven improvements

Your Impact

You will be responsible for a variety of activities related to the accounting, compliance and regulatory, OPEX and audit process, ensure the timely support to office on various accounting processing, analysis of all transaction for the office to identify process / accounting gaps to ensure smooth flow of accounting operations.

You will work in coordination with various offices, the accounting department, and applications support team to ensure to review the operational expenses to analysis the expenses & identify the variance, support office in calculating FBT liability for various expenses category, support in internal / external audit, support ad hoc request by understanding end to end accounting flow of various service line such as P2P, O2C, R2R, Identify automation opportunities and drive projects and act as thought partner to various McKinsey offices to resolve challenges.

You will work as a part of the Finance Global Operations (FGO) team in Gurugram office within the McKinsey Global Capabilities Services (MGCS) domain, a wholly owned subsidiary of McKinsey & Company in India.

You will partner with functional and center leadership, office accounting manager and regional CFOs to identify issues, gather necessary information, and use the correct information to construct practical solutions for solving problems. You will develop, implement, report and review KPIs regularly with the appropriate functional leadership. You will regularly analyze the accounting process, identify improvement areas and recommend new ideas to enhance the efficiency of the overall process, with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction.

You will drive transitions with complete ownership by performing the necessary due diligence, planning, allocation of responsibilities, knowledge transfer, implementation, and process stabilization. You will also ensure that policy changes and business process documentation (SOPs) are updated regularly and adhered to by all team members.

Your Qualifications and Skills
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with a Master's degree
  • 3+ years of post-qualification experience
  • 1+ year actively managing varied stakeholders in a multi-national shared services environment
  • Prior experience in automation such as OCR, RPA or analytics, AI is preferable but not required
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and AI Tools will be an additional advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management with strong communication skills
