Job summary

BDO India Services Private Limited, the India member firm of BDO International, seeks an Assistant Manager in Technology Risk Assurance in Chennai. You will lead ITGC and process reviews, assist in SOX/SOC engagements, and guide junior team members.

The role requires 3+ years in IT risk, ITGC, with CA / B.Tech / MBA (IT) / CISA / DISA qualifications. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential for client interactions and guiding teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT Risk / ITGC experience.
• CA / B.Tech / MBA (IT) / CISA / DISA qualifications.
• Fluent in English with strong communication.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and client expectations.
• Experience with SOC 1, SOC 2, SOX 404 audits preferred.
• Proactive and proactive engagement partner for clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute client engagements in ITGC, process reviews, IT Application Controls, and SOC/SOX audits.
• Ensure deliverables are of high quality and on time.
• Identify engagement risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Build and maintain relationships with client senior management.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to methodologies.

Core ITRA Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing client related engagements in the areas ITGC, process reviews, IT Application Controls, standard operating procedures review, SOCR (SOC 1, SOC 2), SOX 404 Audits.
• Determinethat the work delivered is of high quality.
• Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and elevate issues as appropriate.
• Actively establish & strengthen client (functional heads & key influencers) and internal relationships.
• Assists seniors & managers in developing new methodologies and internal initiatives.
• Create a positive learning culture, coaches, counsels and develops junior team members.
• Identify & elevate potential business opportunities for the firm on existing client engagements.
• Should be a team player with a proactive and result orientated approach.
• Ability to prioritize, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
• Should have good presentation & communication skills.
• Should also be well versed with MS office tools.
• Should also be open and honest in communication with clients and colleagues.
• Fluency in written & verbal English.
• Managing engagement teams for optimum delivery, ability to articulate audit findings and convincing mid to senior level client management and coaching & mentoring staff on the engagements.
• High on personal integrity and work ethics and can be trusted without micro-level supervision from seniors
• Qualified CA, MBA, BTech/BE. (Preferred CISA or equivalent certifications)
