Key focus areas include GST returns, RCM, refunds, income tax returns, TDS, and transfer pricing support across international and domestic tax matters, with exposure to US/UK tax considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience in GST compliance and filings.
• Familiarity with GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and RCM.
• Exposure to income tax returns, TDS, and tax provisioning.

Responsibilities

• GST filings and ledger reconciliations.
• Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) exposure identification and liability computation.
• Refund claims preparation and documentation coordination.
• Direct tax support: income tax returns, TDS compliance, tax provisioning.
• Support statutory and tax audits; draft responses to notices with external counsel/consultants.
• Regulatory monitoring of indirect and direct tax laws; communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, procurement, and business teams.
• Global Tax support including compliance and litigation of US/UK taxes.
• Transfer pricing/international tax: assist in preparation of TP compliances, litigation and advisory.

Job description

The purpose of this role is to support the Global Tax team. Depending on the specific areas of support the role will be responsible for different activities.

Key responsibilities

• GST filings and reconciliations: Prepare, review, and file periodic GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR 6, GSTR 9/9C as applicable); perform GST ledger reconciliations.
• Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM): Identify RCM exposures, compute liabilities, ensure timely payment and reporting.
• Refunds: Prepare refund claims, coordinate documentation, follow up with tax consultants for timely processing.
• Direct tax support: Assist in preparation and filing of income tax returns, TDS compliance, and tax provisioning.
• Tax audits and notices: Support statutory and tax audits; draft responses to notices and coordinate with external counsel/consultants.
• Regulatory monitoring: Keep updated with changes in indirect and direct tax laws; implement process changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Cross functional collaboration: Liaise with finance, legal, procurement, and business teams to optimize tax outcomes.
