Join SHL as an Assistant Manager - Tax and play a key role in handling corporate tax compliance, advisory matters and group tax activities. You’ll work closely with the Head of India/APAC Tax, assist stakeholders across the organisation and contribute to accurate, timely tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

Take care of corporate income tax, TDS and other statutory tax compliances across India and international jurisdictions
Handle tax notices, assessments, appeals, enquiries and investigations, ensuring timely and accurate responses
Prepare lower TDS certificate applications and liaise with tax authorities on related queries
Support India transfer pricing activities, tax audits and annual statutory audits
Take care of corporate tax refund matters, including direct liaison with Indian tax authorities
Prepare deferred tax and tax provisions to help accurate standalone financial reporting
Assist BU and Group-level statutory audits and group tax consolidation activities
Provide practical advice on tax queries raised by stakeholders across the organisation
Essential
Strong experience in Indian corporate taxation and statutory compliance
Strong logical skills with good Excel know-how
Confident communicator with strong time management skills
Desirable
Experience working with Indian accounting standards and IFRS
Exposure to statutory, internal, tax and transfer pricing audits
Experience assisting international tax matters or multiple jurisdictions
Comfortable handling composite and frequent ad-hoc tax queries
