Job summary

Bcoe in Bengaluru (Bangalore) is seeking an experienced finance professional to drive monthly close, budgeting, forecasting and Americas regional reporting. You’ll collaborate with Regional/Market teams, Group FP&A and Group FAR from its RCoE in Bangalore, with cross-timezone responsibilities.

The role requires 5+ years in finance, MBA or equivalent, and exposure to SAP BPC and SAC. Expect US-time alignment a few weeks per month and on-site work in Bangalore.

• At least 5 years extensive work experience in finance.
• Part or full qualified accountant (Chartered / Management Accounting or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage key deliverables during month close with timely, quality outputs for Regional Finance, Group FP&A and GFAR teams.
• Support Americas Region & Markets in budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts; challenge assumptions and classifications.
• Partner with Group FP&A and Group FAR to drive analytics, compliance, quality, and timeliness in month-end reporting.
• Prepare periodic reporting packs and dashboards for presentations and reviews.
• Monitor forecast and budget reporting; analyze movements and provide actionable insights.
• Identify automation requirements and collaborate with CI team to implement automation solutions.
• Handle ad hoc requests from Americas Regional & Market teams and ensure timely communication to markets.
• Assist in testing/UAT of new developments and maintain QA for existing reports.

Job description

The candidate would be responsible to drive key deliverables in relation to financial reporting, analysis, Budgeting/Forecasting and Client reporting at Americas level in collaboration with Americas Regional / Market Teams, Group FP&A and Group FAR teams. The candidate will be part of Central / Americas Regional RCoE (Reporting Centre of Excellence) team based out of Bangalore. As part of this role, the candidate will be required to work across a broad stakeholder group in the Americas region to drive group/regional reporting & FP&A requirements. Work timings: For 7 days in month (US time Zone 6PM to 3AM IST divided in first week & mid-week) & remaining month will be 12PM to 9PM. But the candidate should be open to work in US time zone as and when needed. Role will be based out of Bangalore, candidate must be/relocate to Bangalore.

Job Description

• Manage key deliverables during month close process as per agreed timelines along with ensuring delivery of quality results to key stakeholders (Regional Finance team, Group FP&A and GFAR teams).
• Supporting Americas Region & Markets in budget, quarterly & monthly forecast submission and challenging markets on assumptions, appropriate use of account lines, brands, functions, segments, and classification of exceptional items.
• Partner with Group FP&A and Group FAR teams to drive analytics, compliance, quality, and timeliness in month-end reporting.
• Assist in preparing periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) reporting packs submission and review of the same including performance dashboards & presentations.
• Challenge markets on appropriate use of account lines, brands, functions & segments
• Monitoring & providing solutions on the Forecast & Budget reporting and data modelling to analyse the movements.
• Identify automation requirements and collaborate with CI team to help deliver automation solutions.
• Manage ad hoc requests from Americas Regional & Market team, cascade crucial information to markets, and drive compliance.
• Also as part of RCoE team we will have to do testing / UAT of new developments, maintain QA checks on existing reports.

Qualification

• MBA or equivalent degree in finance / Part or Full Qualified Accountant (Chartered / Management Accounting or equivalent)
• At least 5 years extensive work experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Good analytical skills including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet review.
• Exposure to SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) & SAC would be an added advantage.
• A candidate who has an analytical bent of mind and provides insights when distributing a report or analysis & having the ability to tell the story behind the data in view.
• Strong understanding of the concept of materiality in terms of work performed and the audience it is to be presented to.
• Takes a top-down approach to analysis and investigation. Start from the highest level and go into the detail. Be aware of the "big picture" reason for the analysis and be able to come back to the high level after doing detailed work analysis
• Excellent communication skills, as this role involves interactions with key stakeholders in DAN leadership in the markets.
• Should demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities.
