1. CGHS Rates & Package Management Tariff Compliance: Ensure all procedures, doctor consultations, lab tests, room rents, and surgeries are billed strictly according to the officially prescribed CGHS NABH/Non-NABH tariff rates
Claims Processing & Billing Bill Generation & Verification: Review patient files, discharge summaries, nursing notes, and prescriptions against generated bills before final submission to prevent rejections.Documentation Scrubbing: Ensure required supporting documents (CGHS plastic card copy, referral letter/permission letter from CMO/competent authority, prescription slips, diagnostic reports) are complete and attached.Online Submission: Submit bills via dedicated healthcare portals (such as NHA/UTI-ITSL portals for CGHS processing) within prescribed timelines
Revenue Cycle & Audit OperationsDiscrepancy & Denial Management: Track deductions, queries, or claim rejections made by CGHS bill scrutinizers and resubmit revised claims or appeals with proper justification. Outstanding Recovery: Monitor Aging Accounts Receivable (A/R) from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare/CGHS department and coordinate for timely funds clearance.
