Job summary

Adani seeks a seasoned legal professional to lead land acquisition matters in the Renewable Energy sector. The role involves due diligence, title verification, compliance with statutory requirements, and crafting security packages for project financing.

• 5-8 years of experience in the Renewable Energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Addressing legal aspects and risks in the purchase of land, including due diligence of land and preparation of Title Search Report.
• Examine and verify title deeds and related documents; perform physical and personal inspection of the property.
• Ensure legal compliance with land-related statutes and regulatory bodies.
• Provide legal support for project finance in terms of security creation.
• Compute Stamp Duty, Registration Charges, NA Charges, and understand Circle Rate.
• Register land to satisfy lenders' counsel and funding requirements.
• Handle CLU, Diversion, and Conversion matters as applicable.
• Manage acquisition of forest and government land and related processes.
• Prepare and review documents (Sale Deed, Agreement to Sale, Power of Attorney, Lease Deed, MoU, Term Sheet, SPA, Contracts, etc.).
• Lodge FIR and liaise with police and administrative departments; knowledge of bail procedures.
• Draft pleadings (Plaint, Written Statement, Affidavit) and manage court proceedings.
• Oversee litigation from District Court to Supreme Court and provide litigation support for project finance security.
• Internal and project-finance legal support in terms of security creation.

• Examine and find out the title of the seller or nature of his right; verify title deeds and all connected documents before buying the property; physical and personal inspection of the property.
• Legal compliance pertaining to land with statutory bodies.
• Provide legal support for project finance in terms of security creation.
• Calculation of Stamp Duty, Registration Charges, NA Charges, etc. and knowledge of Circle Rate.
• Registration of Land to satisfy Lenders Counsel and per the requirement of project funding.
• CLU/Diversion/Conversion etc.
• Procedural Knowledge of Acquisition of Forest land/Government Land etc.
• Documentation (Sale Deed, Agreement to Sale, Power of Attorney, Lease Deed, MoU, Term Sheet, SPA, Contracts, etc.)
• Lodging FIR and Liaison with Police and Administrative Department and Knowledge of Bail Procedure.
• Preparation of Plaint, Written Statement, Affidavit.
• Complete Knowledge of proceedings of District Court, High Court, and Supreme Court.
