Job Description:
About ACKO
ACKO is a product-tech company solving real-world customer problems, starting with insurance.
We use technology, data and thoughtful product experiences to make insurance simpler—from buying and renewing policies to accessing services and making claims. As we grow across categories, our focus remains the same: understand what customers need and build experiences that make their lives easier.
About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Growth Marketing to help build and scale customer lifecycle journeys across ACKO.
You will work across channels such as WhatsApp, Push, Email, SMS, In-app and Call Centre to identify opportunities across the customer journey and turn them into targeted, measurable growth interventions.
This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to understand customer behaviour, build audience segments, set up automated journeys, run experiments, analyse performance and continuously improve what we communicate, when we communicate and whom we communicate with.
The role sits at the intersection of Growth, Product, Data, Content, Design and Technology, and is suited to someone who can combine strong execution with analytical and customer-first thinking.
What you’ll own
Lifecycle growth
- Build and optimise customer journeys across conversion, onboarding, engagement, renewal, cross-sell, retention and reactivation.
- Identify customer drop-offs and behavioural opportunities, and translate them into relevant communication interventions.
- Develop always-on, event-triggered and personalised journeys across the customer lifecycle.
Campaign execution & automation
- Independently execute campaigns across WhatsApp, Push, Email, SMS, In-app, Call Centre and other CRM channels.
- Build audience segments, configure triggers, exclusions, frequency controls and channel sequencing.
- Work with APIs, webhooks and event triggers to automate journeys, while owning campaign QA, deployment and monitoring.
Experimentation & analytics
- Design and run A/B tests across audience, content, proposition, timing, channel and journey structure.
- Track impact beyond opens and clicks, including conversion, repeat visits, retention and revenue.
- Analyse campaign and funnel performance to identify what to scale, improve or stop.
Cross-functional execution & scale
- Work closely with Growth, Product, Analytics, Content, Design and Tech teams to take initiatives from idea to execution.
- Build reusable campaign frameworks and automate repetitive processes to improve speed and quality.
- Use AI and automation tools to improve areas such as personalisation, QA, analysis and reporting.
What we’re looking for
- 3-5 years of experience in Growth Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, Retention Marketing or Marketing Automation, preferably in a consumer internet, fintech, insurtech, e-commerce or D2C business.
- Strong hands-on experience with a CRM/marketing automation platform such as CleverTap, MoEngage, WebEngage or similar.
- Experience independently managing the campaign lifecycle—from audience creation and journey setup to QA, launch, analysis and optimisation.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, behavioural targeting, lifecycle journeys and personalisation.
- Hands-on experience running structured A/B tests and interpreting experiment results.
- Comfort working with campaign events, APIs/webhooks, dynamic content and automated triggers.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with large datasets and dashboards.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI or similar.
- Understanding of messaging deliverability, channel fatigue, frequency management, consent and communication hygiene.
- Ability to convert data and customer behaviour into clear hypotheses and actionable campaigns.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- High ownership and comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment.
You’ll do well in this role if you
- Think about the customer journey, not just the next campaign.
- Ask why a customer behaved a certain way before deciding what message to send.
- Are comfortable moving between data, campaign tools, customer communication and business discussions.
- Enjoy experimenting and learning from both successful and unsuccessful tests.
- Look for ways to automate repetitive work and build systems that scale.
- Can balance speed of execution with attention to detail.
- Take ownership of an outcome rather than waiting for a detailed brief.
