Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Bengaluru, onsite, is seeking an Assistant Manager, FP&A to support the Senior Finance Manager within IPE & C, delivering performance insights, forecasting, and commercial understanding across cost, headcount, and CAPEX. This role partners with finance and business stakeholders to drive informed decisions.

The candidate will lead reporting, month-end processes, forecasting, and R&Os, while building knowledge of vendor contracts and procurement implications.

Qualifications

  • Experience in FP&A and accounting close processes.
  • Ability to explain analysis to stakeholders.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of supplier contracts and procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly close and reporting for run and change.
  • Analyse variances to budget and forecast.
  • Prepare forecasts and R&Os for Finance Director.
  • Collaborate with Controllership and FP&A.
  • Support annual budgeting and ad-hoc projects.

Job Profile Summary Support to Senior Finance Manager within IPE (Infrastructure Platform Engineering) I&C with business performance information, forecasting and commercial understanding This role provides an opportunity to partner closely with finance and business stakeholders, gaining deep visibility of one of LSEG’s largest cost bases and driving insight-led decision making, working closely with business and finance partners Job Description Take the lead on reporting and month end processes for both run and change. Produce, review, and analyse performance management reporting of actual monthly results and variances to budget and forecast relating to cost, headcount, CAPEX and other KPI’s to help drive reporting and decision making, highlighting any issues and risks to finance manager Understanding key drivers of variances and be able to articulate these variances in a way that is easy to understand and work with business team to resolve Working closely with controllership counter-parts to work through month end issues and treatment Produce monthly forecasting and R&Os information to present to finance manager and finance director Work closely with controllership teams and FP&A to ensure accurate reporting based on reporting needs and structures ensuring monthly actuals are accurate and correctly aligned and tie to supplier contract terms where appropriate ensuring correct financial treatment Build an understanding of IPE including the key vendor contracts, and the drivers to these contracts to drive insights and challenge stakeholders Work closely with business contacts to align on supplier contract renewals proactively ensuring correct treatment and challenging where there may be risk Creation of management information packs for business partners Assist with the preparation of annual budgets during the budgeting cycle, working with the business, Vendor Management, and FP&A to create the budget and upload into systems Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions Support on contract commercial discussions with procurement, challenging assumptions and the impact of commercial terms to financial treatment Provide input to ad hoc projects within Finance and the business as required Knowledge & Skills Inquisitive demeanour – Analysing data, taking a step back and understanding why there are variances and digging deeper to find out more information proactively getting to the root cause Ability to explain analysis and insights and communicate to stakeholders Proactivity – Finding out information and data to aid business decisions, getting to the real drivers of variances/issues, evaluates assumptions Strong understanding of financial/management accounting and financial treatment.
