Job summary

dentsu is seeking a Financial Reporting & Controls Manager based in Bangalore to strengthen the control environment for the Creative Service Line. You will support the Finance Controller - CSL in driving financial reporting, controls, and compliance, including special projects and policy changes.

The role requires a Chartered Accountant with 7+ years post-qualification experience, IFRS proficiency, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. Familiarity with SAP BPC, D365, and Blackline is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 7+ years post-qualification experience in accounting, controllership, financial reporting and consolidation.
• Proficient in technical accounting and IFRS; US GAAP knowledge preferred.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC, Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Blackline is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across regions.

Responsibilities

• Drive finance projects including backlog clearance and system implementations across CSL US entities.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, risk analysis, and implement appropriate controls.
• Support internal audits, local stat audits and year-end group audits.
• Collaborate with CSL FC on ad hoc controls and compliance deliverables.
• Assess policy changes and revise internal control framework.
• Lead reconciliations between Nexelus and ERP (D365) and fix recurring gaps.
• Coordinate with IMFT, regional teams, commercial and operations finance on projects.

dentsu is committed to drive a robust and consistent control environment and this role plays an important part of it. The Financial Reporting & Controls Manager will be based out of Bangalore and will support the Finance Controller - Creative Service Line (CSL), in driving the appropriate financial reporting, control and compliance environment including driving special projects and changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive finance projects including backlog clearance, process improvements, best practice adoption & system implementation / tech adoption across Creative Service Line (CSL) entities in the US. Track the progress on backlogs and publish the status periodically.
• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations, risk analysis and work with the teams to develop & implement appropriate controls
• Support during Internal audit, local stat audit & year end group audit process.
• Work with CSL Controller/Assistant Controller on ad hoc tasks and deliverables on financial control & compliance areas. Flag issues and help in clearing any bottlenecks/ issues identified as a part of projects.
• Review & assess impact of any policy changes, group/regional reporting requirements, processes re alignment & changes in internal control framework. Ensure the impact and change is understood, discussed with CSL FC on a timely manner.
• Work on any changes or remediation projects like JSOX controls implementation, annual controls self-certification process or Group's Internal Control Framework implementation
• Lead reconciliation between project management system (Nexelus) and ERP (Dynamics D365) and work with Nexelus team and other relevant teams to eliminate differences and establish processes so that they are not recurring again
• Coordinate with "In Market Finance Teams" (IMFT), Regional team, Commercial finance, Operational finance team (3rd party service provider) and CCoE team in driving these projects.

Professional Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in Accounting, Controllership, Financial reporting and Consolidation
• Proficient in technical accounting and IFRS. Knowledge of US GAAP would be preferable
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation), Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Blackline tools will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities.
