Job summary

Deloitte Shared Services India is seeking a Finance Operations professional to oversee timely financial close, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain strong internal controls. You will work with SAP ERP, support audits, and train new team members in a multinational SSC environment.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and professional certifications such as CA, CMA, CPA or ACCA.

Responsibilities

• Timely closing and execution of financial periods per calendar and SLA, with compliance, internal audit and SOX.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy and validity of reported actuals.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements.
• Focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
• Provide on-the-job training for new team members and partners.
• Support auditors and legal authorities in required activities.
• Adhere to worldwide policies; identify risks and propose solutions.
• Maintain strong internal controls to ensure audit ratings.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain Operational Excellence

• Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
• Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items.
• On the job training for new team members / BPO partners.
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
• Understand, adhere, and execute per worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve adequate internal and external audit ratings.

Qualifications:

Education

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
• CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA and/or other financial certifications is a must.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of professional experience is required.
