Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee commercial operations, logistics, and supply chain coordination in Bengaluru. You will manage contracts, drive cost optimization, and ensure compliance across procurement, sales, and logistics.

The role requires 8–10 years in logistics or supply chain with at least 3 years in leadership, plus strong ERP/WMS experience and MS Excel proficiency. MBA preferred; lead a cross-functional team in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in logistics, commercial management, or supply chain roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in logistics operations, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics management systems (ERP/WMS).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data reporting tools.

This position is responsible for overseeing all commercial operations, logistics activities, and supply chain coordination to ensure smooth and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers. This role combines commercial acumen with strong operational execution, ensuring alignment between procurement, sales, logistics, and financial objectives.

The incumbent will manage vendor and customer relationships, drive cost optimization, and ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Management
    • Develop, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
    • Monitor market trends, pricing, and competition to identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement.
    • Ensure alignment of commercial terms with company financial and operational strategies.
    • Analyze and report on commercial performance, profitability, and cost drivers.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management
    • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory control.
    • Develop logistics strategies that ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods.
    • Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
    • Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics efficiency, route optimization, and freight cost reduction.
  • Inventory And Operations Coordination
    • Collaborate with production, procurement, and planning teams to align material availability with production schedules and customer demand.
    • Monitor stock levels to prevent excess inventory and overwhelming situation at stores.
    • Implement KPIs to measure performance (e.g., on-time delivery, freight cost, inventory, Transit lead time).
  • Financial & Compliance
    • Prepare and manage budgets for logistics and commercial operations.
    • Control logistics and distribution costs while maintaining service quality.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, trade laws, and safety standards.
    • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of commercial, logistics, and supply chain professionals.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment between sales, operations, and finance teams to achieve business goals.
