Job summary

Adani Power Ltd. seeks an experienced C&I commissioning engineer to lead field activities for electrical & instrumentation systems across projects in India.

You will oversee commissioning scope, manpower planning, and collaborate with project teams to align with scope and timelines. The role requires 7–10+ years in C&I commissioning, strong knowledge of protection logic testing, earthing, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in C&I commissioning.
• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical/Electronics or Electrical & Instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of safety, QA, and commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise commissioning activities for field instrumentation (TCI, CEMS, SWAS, HVAC, CCTV, PA, fire detection).
• Prepare C&I commissioning scope and manpower requirements for contract awards.
• Coordinate with project team to schedule erection and commissioning per scope and timelines.
• Validate commissioning protocols, interlock and protection logic testing, and earthing systems.
• Validate start-up procedures, installation practices, and upkeep of C&I systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions.
• Certify test and calibration data and maintain documentation.
• Provide training to subordinates and operations teams on new systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards during commissioning.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the commissioning activities for the various field instrumentation including TSI, CEMS, SWAS, HVAC, CCTV, PA and fire detection systems.
• Preparing the C&I commissioning scope and manpower requirement for awarding the contract.
• Collaborate with project team and fellow engineers to schedule C&I erection & commissioning activities according to the project scope and timelines.
• Validation of various commissioning protocols of C&I systems, interlock & protection logic testing, earthing system.
• Validation of standard procedures of start-up, installation and upkeeping of C&I systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions.
• Certify all the test and calibration data.
• Provide training and guidance to subordinates, maintenance, and operational teams on new systems.
• Ensuring the best industry practices and standards followed in project execution.
• Verification of all the test certificates, software licenses, warranty certificates, system back-ups and logic back-ups.
• Coordinating and communicating with vendors, OEMs and suppliers for any commissioning support.
• Arrangement of C&I lab setup with certified master instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures during the commissioning phase.
