The role ensures operational safety for HV energy storage systems, aircraft power distribution, and avionics hardware in testing settings, with emphasis on compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Energy or Safety Engineering.
• Hands-on HV battery safety, lab testing, and electrical equipment safety in EV/aerospace sectors.
• Familiarity with NFPA 855, UN38.3, ARP4761/DO-254/DO-160, ISO 26262.
• Experience with HV isolation, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, ESD/arc-flash risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce strict safety standards across HV testing environments and charging infrastructure.
• Design and execute thermal runaway containment and fire suppression protocols for R&D labs.
• Manage HV PPE, insulated tools, ESD gear, and arc-flash protection equipment procurement & maintenance.
• Lead incident investigations with RCA and develop preventive actions for battery/electronics hazards.

This role ensures operational andfunctional safety across high-voltage energy storage systems, aircraft powerdistribution, and sensitive electronic units.

Qualifications& Skills

• MandatoryQualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Energy, or SafetyEngineering.
  
• MandatoryExperience: Hands-on experience in high-voltage batterysafety, laboratory testing, and electrical equipment safety within the EV,eVTOL, or aerospace sectors.
  
• PreferredExperience: Direct experience with NFPA 855 (Energy Storage Systems), UN38.3, ARP4761 / DO-254 / DO-160 (Environmental Conditions and TestProcedures for Airborne Equipment), ISO 26262, or aerospace-gradelithium-ion cell testing.
  
• PrimarySkills: Lithium-ion thermal runaway prevention, High-Voltage (HV)isolation & Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Electrical/electronics hazardassessment, airborne electrical power distribution safety, Avionic testrig safety protocol design, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) / arc-flashrisk mitigation.
  
• SecondarySkills: EHS Incident/Accident investigation, Root cause analysis (RCA),emergency response planning for airborne chemical/electrical fires, vendoraudit for specialized PPE, and grounding/bonding safety clearance.

• IncidentInvestigation: Lead incident investigations involving battery thermalevents, electrical anomalies, or avionics hardware shorts, developingrobust root cause analyses (RCA) and preventative actions.
