Job Title: Assistant Engineering Manager

Main Job Purpose

1. Concept, FEED and Detail engineering of Homecare projects (Spray dried blown powder & Bars) after due evaluation of project brief.
2. Contribute and deliver Project cost avoidance of 10% for individual projects.
3. Maintain project governance as per UEnS protocol to ensure project delivery as per network.
4. Responsible for safety and sustainability by design.
5. Train project executives to enhance capability on project design and vertical start up of projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver end to end Concept and Detail design for Spray dried powder, NTR Powder and Detergent Bars for Green and brown field projects.
• Evaluate and select ESP and critical equipment vendors for the projects to ensure high quality and cost effective solutions.
• Interpret project briefs effectively and collaborate with site teams, ESPs, and stakeholders for seamless design integration.

Technical Excellence & Compliance

• Apply deep understanding of Powder & Bar processes, ensuring designs reflect quality standards and consumer needs.
• Optimize utilities and engineering resources for efficient, sustainable operations.
• Ensure Unilever Engineering governance protocol adherence across all project stages.
• Embed safety and sustainability by design principles in every deliverable.

Capability Development

• Coach and train project executives on engineering design methodologies and vertical start-up excellence.

Professional Skills & Experience

1. BE Mechanical Engineer with experience in design for Spray dried powder plant & Detergent Bar Plants.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Process design of Green and Brown field Homecare related projects.

ESSENTIAL

Strong background in designing spray dried powder and detergent bar plants.

PREFERRED

Broader Homecare design experience across multiple process technologies.

Travel

Willingness to travel and remain mobile as per project demands and site locations.
