Job summary

Shoppers Stop is seeking a Design professional to drive trend research and concept development for our fashion and home ranges. You will work closely with the Lead Design/Category Designer to translate market insights into brand-aligned concepts and clear product directions.

The role requires managing the design process end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and brand consistency across lines. Collaborative teamwork with marketing, merchandising and production is essential.

Job description

Designer is responsible for trend research, creating design concept, select colour stories by working closely with Lead Design/ Category Designer for respective brand or department.

Design Management:

• Oversee the entire design process, from concept to final product, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Manage the development of new products, ensuring they meet market trends, customer preferences, and brand guidelines.
• Ensure timely delivery of design projects, adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Market Research and Trend Analysis:

• Conduct market research to identify current and future design trends.
• Analyse competitors and consumer behaviour to inform design decisions.
• Utilize insights to innovate and enhance the product range.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the marketing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure cohesive and effective product launches.
• Communicate design concepts and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other partners.

Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure all design outputs meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain best practices in design processes and methodologies.
