Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Vadodara is seeking an experienced professional to manage furnace operation and process control in a heavy industry setting. The role involves monitoring and optimizing blast furnace parameters, ensuring efficient gas distribution, and coordinating with field teams to follow production plans.

You will also focus on achieving targeted hot metal production, maintaining metallurgical balance, and logging data for performance summaries.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Blast Furnace parameters using PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
• Maintain burden descent rate, stock line, top pressure, and blast parameters.
• Ensure effective gas distribution and top gas efficiency (CO/CO ratio).
• Optimize oxygen enrichment, steam injection, and PCI rate.
• Coordinate with Stock House for proper charging sequence and burden distribution.
• Support in implementing daily production plans and operational instructions.
• Achieve targeted hot metal production and maintain metallurgical balance.
• Control hot metal composition (Si, P, S) and temperature as per quality norms.
• Monitor coke rate, sinter, pellets, and gas utilization for optimal efficiency.
• Analyze process data and suggest improvements for productivity and fuel optimization.
• Supervise real-time control room monitoring and data logging.
• Track operational trends, alarms, and deviations to initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with field teams during tuyere, bustle main, and valve operations.
• Maintain shift-wise data, reports, and daily performance summaries.
