Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a capable professional to assist the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising day-to-day construction activities for water supply infrastructure projects. The role involves monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and coordinating with contractors and QA/QC teams on site.

The position emphasizes overseeing workmanship quality, resource deployment, and adherence to standards, with collaboration across design teams

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising day-to-day construction activities.
• Monitor construction progress against drawings, specs, work programmes, and project schedules.
• Supervise construction of water supply infrastructure including WTPs, pumping stations, reservoirs, pipelines, valve chambers, roads and allied civil structures.
• Review contractors' construction methodologies, work programmes, resource deployment, and site execution plans.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, design teams, QA/QC personnel, and client representatives to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Monitor contractor manpower, equipment, and material deployment and highlight resource constraints affecting project progress.
