The School of Engineering and Applied Science at Ahmedabad University is inviting applications for faculty positions in all areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in particular VLSI and semi-conductors, communication, machines, power systems and controls. Recruitment is on an ongoing basis – both permanent and short-term faculty, post-doctoral research scholars with appropriate academic record. Ahmedabad University is a multi-disciplinary research university that lays emphasis on high quality and impactful research, and innovative hands-on teaching.
The University is expanding teaching and research in all areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, including microelectronics, communication engineering, devices, electric machines, power systems, control engineering, robotics mechatronics, and embedded systems, amongst others. Focus research areas include electronics design and fabrication, renewable energies, electric transportation, and sustainability. The University offers a Bachelor’s programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering encompassing all domains. The university also offers a Master’s programme in VLSI, semiconductors & Microelectronics as well as a PhD programme.
Faculty are expected to engage in high-quality research, establish new research areas in collaboration with professors of the University and outside, publish research work in international peer-reviewed journals of repute, teach courses within the School and across the University, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, develop external funding for research support, and participate in institution building. The school is keen to attract faculty who would like to work closely with industry and larger society.
The university strongly encourages interdisciplinary research involving engineering and biosciences, materials engineering and environmental engineering, amongst others.
