Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Kancheepuram, India, is seeking a production/assembly associate to perform assembly operations in a safe, standards-driven environment. The role reports to a Production Supervisor or Assembly Manager and requires onsite work in Kancheepuram.

You will assist in machine shop tasks, operate conventional equipment, and follow SOPs while maintaining 5S and safety practices. The position welcomes diploma holders and candidates with other degrees who are willing to work in

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any degree is acceptable.
• 1+ years of experience in a machine shop environment or production setting.
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and practices.
• Willingness to work in a shop floor / production environment and in shifts if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day machine shop operations.
• Operate and support conventional machines such as punching, powder coating, drilling/tapping, etc.
• Learn and follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Support production activities to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Assist in basic machine setup, measurement, and inspection.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area.

Job Description

Kancheepuram-India

To perform assembly operations efficiently and accurately by following standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality, safety compliance, and achievement of daily production targets.

You will report to Production Supervisor / Assembly Manager and follow a onsite working schedule in India Kancheepuram.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day machine shop operations
• Operate and support conventional machines such as Punching , powder coating , Drilling/tapping etc.
• Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
• Support production activities to meet quality and productivity targets
• Assist in basic machine setup, measurement, and inspection
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area
• Work under supervision and continuously improving technical skills

The Essentials -You Will Have

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR
• Any Degree (candidates must be willing to work in machine shop operations)
• 1+ years of experience
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts
• Willingness to work in a shopfloor / production environment
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to machine shop processes
• Good attitude, discipline, and teamwork skills
• Willing to work in shifts, if required
• Shop-floor based role
