Eligibility Conditions

Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

A candidate must be 18 to 25 years of age with a relaxation in upper age as follow:

• 5 years for SC/ ST (P/H)
• 3 years for OBC/ MOBC
• 10 years additionally for Former Members of Militant Organization (FMMOs) / SPOs

Exam Procedure

First, the PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test) will be conducted. The Physical Standard Test has no marks. The Physical Efficiency Test is worth 40 marks and has two events:

• Race – 20 marks: 3.2 km race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds) and 1600 meters race within 8 minutes.
• Long Jump – 20 marks: Minimum 335 cm for men and 244 cm for women; each candidate gets three attempts.

Qualified candidates will appear for a written objective-type test based on classes 9 and 10. The written test consists of 100 questions, each worth 0.5 marks. No negative marking.

After the written test, an extracurricular activities and special skill test (10 marks) is conducted. The marks are divided as follows:

• Educational Qualification – 5 marks
• Proficiency in Computer – 5 marks
• Diploma/Certificate course from ITI/Polytechnic or other recognized accredited technical institute – 3 marks

The final selection will be based on cumulative marks from PET, written test, and extracurricular activities.
