Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the development roadmap for AI workflow and automation tools in partnership with the AI Workflow & Automation Manager.
• Contribute to architectural planning and system design, providing technical insight into feasibility, scalability, and implementation implications.
• Design and build scalable, modular, and extensible internal systems that support evolving organizational needs.
• Balance speed and quality by prioritizing functional MVPs and rapid iteration over heavy engineering formalities.
• Establish development standards appropriate for fast-moving internal AI and automation environments.
• Translate business and workflow requirements into technical execution plans in collaboration with Systems Transformation Specialists and other AI Workflow & Automation team members.
• Oversee implementation of new functionality requests and enhancements.
• Ensure new features integrate cleanly into current and future tool ecosystems.
• Serve as the primary quality-control owner for development outputs within the AI Workflow & Automation team.
• Maintain documentation, system clarity, and technical continuity across tools.
• Partner closely with Systems Transformation Specialists to convert operational needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, sprint kickoffs, and cross-functional meetings to represent development priorities and progress.
• Serve as a technical consultant to the AI Workflow & Automation team and broader stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate technical tradeoffs, constraints, timelines, and risks to U.S.-based and global teams.
• Ensure visibility between development efforts and other organizational initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers within the AI Workflow & Automation team.
• Create clarity around development priorities, execution standards, and delivery expectations.
• Foster a culture of rapid experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement within the development function.

The AI Workflow & Automation Lead Developer is a technical leader responsible for executing the development of scalable internal AI and automation tools that increase organizational capability and efficiency.

Reporting to the AI Workflow & Automation Manager, this role partners closely on architecture and roadmap development while leading the execution, build quality, and technical delivery of core systems. This individual brings a strong developer mindset to system design discussions and ensures that tools are architected for scalability, flexibility, and speed.
