Job summary

AstroVed in Tamil Nadu, Ambattur area, seeks an Agentic AI Engineer with about 2 years of hands-on Python experience to build AI-powered applications using AI APIs. The role focuses on tool integration, API workflows and agents that can perform actions beyond simple responses.

You will work on multimodal AI projects, including voice, image understanding, and chatbots, integrating REST APIs and webhooks, and collaborating with product teams to translate prototypes into scalable products.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Agentic AI Engineer with approximately 2 years of hands‑on Python experience building applications using AI APIs. The candidate should have experience connecting AI models with external tools, APIs or actionsnot simply using ChatGPT or other AI tools through the browser.

Current AI hiring is increasingly focused on agentic applications, tool calling, API integration and multimodal systems rather than only model development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build AI-powered applications using Python.
• Integrate OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar LLM APIs.
• Build AI workflows that can interact with external tools and services.
• Develop AI agents capable of taking actions, not just generating responses.
• Work with at least one multimodal area:
• Voice AI
• Image understanding/generation
• Chatbots/conversational AI
• Document processing
• Integrate REST APIs, webhooks and third-party services.
• Implement function/tool calling and multi-step AI workflows.
• Build prototypes and convert successful prototypes into usable applications.
• Debug API, model and workflow issues.
• Work with AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to identify practical AI use cases.

Required Skills:

• Python strong hands-on experience.
• 1.53 years of software/AI development experience.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs.
• Practical experience with OpenAI / Claude / Gemini or equivalent.
• REST APIs, JSON and webhooks.
• Experience building at least one of:
• AI chatbot
