Role Description

The Articled Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements, including planning, execution, documentation, and reporting under applicable accounting and auditing standards. Responsibilities include assisting in statutory, tax, and internal audits, performing test checks, vouching, reconciliations, and evaluating internal controls. The role involves working on direct and indirect tax filings, supporting GST, income tax, and MCA compliance, and preparing working papers and schedules for tax assessments and litigation support. The Articled Assistant will also contribute to risk management reviews, management reports, and basic financial analysis, while interacting with clients under supervision to gather information and clarify queries. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, offering structured learning, mentorship, and exposure to multiple service lines.

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing Chartered Accountancy (registered with ICAI) with completed or ongoing CPT/Intermediate levels, and a strong foundation in accounting, auditing, and taxation.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, Indian accounting standards, basic corporate law, and regulatory frameworks related to GST, Income Tax, and MCA compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting/ERP software, with the ability to prepare working papers, reconciliations, and reports accurately.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial data and regulations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, professional conduct in client interactions, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• High integrity, willingness to learn, time management skills, and the capacity to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, taxation, or compliance (if any) will be an advantage; familiarity with cross-border taxation or advisory work is a plus.
