Job summary

MatchLab Talent in Pune is seeking an Articled Assistant / CA Articleship Trainee to support audits, taxation, accounting, and compliance while undergoing structured practical training.

You will gain hands-on experience with statutory and internal audits, tax work, and financial reporting, while learning to apply ICAI guidelines and stay updated on regulatory changes. Local travel within Pune may be required.

Qualifications

• The candidate is pursuing CA and is eligible to start articleship as per ICAI norms.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, taxation basics, and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical ability, willingness to learn, and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and related documentation.
• Support preparation and review of financial statements, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Gain hands-on experience in valuation and financial modelling.
• Work on direct tax and indirect tax assignments, including return preparation and basic compliance support.
• Assist in ROC filings, company law compliance, and maintenance of statutory records.
• Participate in client data collection, vouching, verification, and working paper preparation during assignments.
• Help with accounting, MIS preparation, and basic financial analysis as required by the reporting manager.
• Stay up to date on applicable accounting standards, tax provisions, and regulatory changes relevant to the assigned work.

About the Role

The articled assistant will support the firm in audit, taxation, accounting, and compliance assignments while undergoing structured practical training as part of the CA journey.
