Atlys is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead the visual direction across brand and performance. You will manage a design team, shape the creative bar, and contribute hands-on when needed.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, culture, and business. You’ll define how Atlys shows up visually, build a capable design team, and translate ambitious briefs into distinctive work across digital and offline channels.

Qualifications

The Role

We're looking for an Art Director to lead the visual direction of Atlys across brand and performance.

You'll lead our team of graphic designers, set the creative bar, and stay close enough to the work to shape ideas and step into execution when needed.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, culture and business. You'll define how Atlys shows up visually, build a strong design team and turn ambitious briefs into distinctive creative across digital and offline channels.

The Job

• Define the visual direction for Atlys across brand campaigns, social, performance marketing, web and offline experiences, creating work that is distinctive and recognisably ours.

• Turn briefs into strong creative concepts and carry them from the first idea through art direction, design and final execution.

• Build and evolve Atlys' visual identity through systems, principles and creative expressions that scale across channels without becoming formulaic.

• Lead and develop the graphic design team by setting a high creative bar, giving clear direction and feedback, and getting hands-on when a project needs your craft or judgment.

• Raise the creative bar while moving fast by partnering closely with Marketing, Content and Product to ship ambitious work and iterate based on what resonates.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll likely thrive in this role if you:

• Have 8+ years of experience across brand, advertising or visual design, ideally with exposure to agencies, studios or digital-first consumer brands.

• Have a portfolio that demonstrates strong art direction, visual storytelling and brand-building, not just polished execution.

• Have experience leading and developing graphic designers while staying close enough to the craft to guide execution when needed.

• Bring exceptional visual judgment across typography, composition, colour and layout, with experience across digital and offline formats.

• Have sharp cultural and internet instincts, and the ability to create excellent work at speed without losing craft.
