Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an experienced Area Service Manager to install, commission, and maintain rotary air compressors in the Chennai region. The role involves frequent travel, overtime, and ensuring customer satisfaction while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in compressor systems, mechanical and electrical skills, and a proactive, customer-centric approach. Travel and flexibility are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (3 years).
• Experience with installation, commissioning and maintenance of rotary air compressors.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning & servicing of air compressors.
• To achieve revenue & collection targets.
• Coordination on various levels internally & externally to get the required work done on time.
• Explore new business opportunities such as upgrades.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
• Frequent travel requirements with some overnight travel.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction while working with stakeholders.

• Understanding of pneumatic systems, including piping, valves, and controls.
