The Area Sales Manager Andhra Pradesh will be responsible for end-to-end sales ownership of the Andhra Pradesh region. This is a target-driven leadership role requiring strong execution capability, market understanding, and distributor/channel development experience.
The role demands an individual who can build and execute regional sales strategies, onboard new distributors and customers, strengthen existing relationships, and consistently deliver volume and revenue targets.
Role & responsibilities
1. Regional Sales Ownership
- Take complete responsibility for sales performance, revenue growth, and market expansion across Andhra Pradesh.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as defined by the company.
- Prepare and execute region-specific sales plans aligned with overall business objectives.
- Monitor sales performance regularly and take corrective actions to achieve targets.
2. Distributor & Channel Development
- Identify, appoint, and develop distributors, dealers, and channel partners across assigned territories.
- Drive distributor performance through target setting, regular reviews, and market execution.
- Ensure effective market coverage, product availability, and visibility across the region.
- Manage distributor onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement.
3. Customer Acquisition & Market Expansion
- Develop new customers including mechanics, retailers, workshops, fleets, and institutional buyers.
- Increase Lubigens penetration in existing markets and expand into new territories.
- Build strong relationships with key customers to drive repeat business and loyalty.
4. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Build and implement go-to-market strategies for the Kerala region.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, schemes, and product launches in coordination with the marketing team.
- Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, products, and customer trends.
- Recommend pricing, schemes, and tactical actions based on market feedback.
5. Team & Field Management
- Guide and support field sales representatives to ensure effective market execution.
- Accompany distributors and sales team for joint field visits to drive sales and relationship building.
- Ensure discipline in sales reporting, forecasting, and CRM updates.
6. Credit Control & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies related to pricing, credit terms, discounts, and documentation.
- Monitor outstanding payments and support timely collections through distributors.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and MIS reporting.
Preferred candidate profile
Education
- Any Graduate (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred)
Experience
- 4-10 years of experience in lubricants, automotive aftermarket, or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building distribution networks.
- Experience handling regional sales operations and distributor management.
