Job summary

Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Underwriter to lead area underwriting for home loans and secured retail products.

You will review CAMs, financials, and collateral, and conduct field visits for high-risk cases to ensure timely sanctions and risk mitigation. You will coach and mentor a team, ensure TAT adherence, and work with sales, policy, and operations to maintain audit readiness and sample QC controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead area underwriting (home loans/LAP and other secured retail products as applicable) within DOA.
• Review CAMs, financials, banking surrogates, and collateral; conduct field visits for high - risk cases.
• Ensure TAT adherence and reduce reworks through coaching and first - time - right checks.
• Monitor early delinquency/quality of approved portfolio; provide feedback to sales and policy teams.
• Drive PDD/deferral closure within SLA; ensure maker-checker controls and sample QC audits.
• Coordinate with legal/technical/ops for smooth sanction - to - disbursement and risk mitigation.
• Maintain audit readiness and close observations ontime; train team on policy changes.
