We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Business Development Manager (ABDM) to lead our sales operations in the assigned territory. The ABDM will be responsible for driving business growth, managing a team of sales professionals, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Forecast sales and monitor performance to achieve business objectives.
- Identify market opportunities, new customers, and expansion potential.
- Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of Medical Representatives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development for team members.
- Motivate and drive the team to achieve targets while ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare professionals (doctors, hospitals, KOLs).
- Manage distributor and channel partner relations to ensure consistent product availability and growth.
- Organize and drive customer engagement programs (CME, seminars, product trainings).
- Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to guide strategy.
- Regularly submit sales, forecast, and activity reports to senior management.
- Monitor budget, plan territory-wise expenditures, and ensure ROI.
- Compliance & Operational Execution
- Ensure all sales and promotional activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Coordinate with supply chain/distribution teams for inventory management, timely deliveries, and order fulfillment.
Required Candidate Profile
- Education: Graduation in Science / Life Sciences / Pharmacy.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare sales, with at least 1 to 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
