Job summary

Earthwise Architecture is seeking an Architectural Designer to contribute to projects from concept through construction documents. The on-site role in Kozhikode requires close collaboration with the studio team and regular site visits.

You will prepare architectural drawings, develop design concepts, and support urban and site planning studies, while coordinating with senior designers and producing presentations and visualizations for internal and external use.

Role Description

The Architectural Designer will contribute to the design and development of projects from concept through construction documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing architectural drawings, assisting with construction details, developing design concepts, and supporting urban and site planning studies. The role involves coordinating with senior designers, participating in design reviews, and producing presentations and visualizations for internal and external use. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, requiring close collaboration with the studio team and occasional visits to project sites.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to develop concepts into clear, buildable solutions.
• Proficiency in Construction Drawings and detailing, including technical documentation for various project phases.
• Capability in Drawing and visualization, using both hand sketching and digital tools to communicate design ideas.
• Understanding of Urban Planning principles and site planning, with awareness of context, community, and environmental factors.
• Experience with industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and graphic tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with openness to feedback and collaborative design processes.
• Interest in research-driven design, sustainability, and the integration of art and context into architectural work.
