Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years experience in BI/DW architecture, design, and implementation, preferably in a team lead role.
• Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and BI tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead BI/Datawarehouse Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse (DW) solutions, ensuring they meet the organization's strategic data and reporting needs.

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the data warehouse and BI infrastructure, including the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data modeling, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and IT professionals, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain a robust data governance framework, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of the BI and DW systems, implementing best practices and leveraging the latest technologies.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for designing, implementing, and managing data warehousing models, storage, and data processing solutions.

• Oversee the implementation and integration of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects to support advanced data analysis and reporting.
• Implement and maintain data quality and data governance processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of the data warehouse.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data warehouse team, guiding and supporting their professional development.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse infrastructure, addressing any bottlenecks or issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the data warehouse is integrated with other systems and applications, and that it aligns with the organization's overall technology strategy.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data warehouse technologies, and recommend and implement appropriate solutions to enhance the organization's business intelligence capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in BI/DW architecture, design, and implementation, preferably in a team lead role.
• Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and the use of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
