Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a Windchill Architect to join its EPLM team in Pune. You will engage with customers and peers across medical, automotive, defense, and manufacturing domains, deliveringWindchill-based solutions from analysis to implementation and reporting.

The role requires 12–17 years of Windchill development experience, strong communication, and hands-on API and integration work, including ESI, SAP/Oracle integrations, and related PLM modules. A CS degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 12-17 years of Windchill development experience.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with ESI and Webservices; Windchill API proficiency.
• ERP integrations experience is a plus.
• Web-based development knowledge (JSP, JavaScript, MVC, Spring) preferred.
• Strong OO design and API development skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement PLM project modules as part of a team.
• Understand PLM concepts, CAD, BOM, workflows, and related modules.
• Capture user requirements and document them (URS, FSD, etc.).
• Experience with ESI integration, SUMA and Part Classification is a plus.
• Windchill customization, integration/ESI/Webservice proficiency.
• Proficient with Windchill data model and APIs; document methods and lessons learned.

Windchill Architect

Birlasoft is currently seeking a strong Windchill Architect who enjoys interacting with both customers and peers to join our Extended Product LifeCycle Management (EPLM) Team. The Integration Architect will be involved in all phases of projects, from analysis of client’s needs to implementation, customization, and reporting on a variety of solutions. The Integration Architect will be dealing with large, high profile clients in the medical, automotive, defense, and manufacturing industries and will be required to configure and customize solutions to the client’s complex needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a willingness to provide support along with strong technical knowledge.

The expectation is this person would have 12-17 years of experience with Windchill development.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Implement PLM project modules working as part of the team
• Solid understanding the PLM concepts, practices, and procedures. CAD, Assembly, Part, Bill of Materials, Workflow Process, Release to Manufacturing, Revise, Change Management, Product Structure, Process Management, WC ESI (SAP/Oracle Apps Integration), Windchill Product Analytics, etc.
• Capture user requirements and document them (User Requirement Specification Functional Specifications, System Capture Worksheet, Solution Design, etc.)
• Experience on designing ESI integration, SUMA and Part Classification is added advantage
• Should have technical expertise in Windchill customization, integration/ESI/Webservice
• Proficient with the Windchill PLM data model and APIs.
• Documenting methods and lessons learned

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Prior experience with Automotive, Locomotive and Medical Device industry a major plus
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science and equivalent experience in the development industry
• Experience with integrations using ESI, Webservices, specifically with Windchill API
• Experience with ERP integrations preferred
• Web-based development experience (JSP, Javascript, MVC, Spring) preferred
• In Depth knowledge of object-oriented methodologies and API development preferred
• Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server) is a plus
