Job summary

Cognizant in Chennai, India seeks a seasoned Enterprise Architect specialized in C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server to design and deliver robust, scalable enterprise solutions within a hybrid work model. You will guide architecture across full SDLC, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.

In this role you will mentor teams, define patterns, and align with enterprise standards while continuously improving delivery.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise applications using C#/.NET in hybrid work models.
• Strong practical knowledge of ADO.NET and SQL Server including query optimization and database design for large scale systems.
• OO design, design patterns and clean coding principles for maintainable solutions.
• Experience in agile or iterative delivery environments with cross-functional teams and day shift schedules.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into modular and scalable architecture blueprints.
• Excellent communication and documentation to articulate architectural decisions, risks and tradeoffs.
• Exposure to cloud-ready and container-friendly architectures for future migrations to modern hosting platforms.
• Familiarity with security best practices in web and service development (auth, data protection, secure coding).
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent Net-focused credentials.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable application solutions using Net Core and ASP Net Core.
• Design logical and physical architectures optimizing interaction between C#/.NET services, data access layers, and SQL Server.
• Define integration patterns and interfaces for internal and external systems.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, models, and docs for shared understanding across teams.
• Review designs and code for adherence to guidelines, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineering to translate requirements into sustainable architectures.
• Optimize SQL Server schemas, queries, and indexing for high transaction volumes.
• Mentor on architectural thinking and implementation patterns; foster continuous improvement.
• Contribute to reusable components and templates to accelerate delivery across Net-based projects.
• Evaluate emerging tools/frameworks in the Net ecosystem and recommend adoption paths.
• Support deployment and configuration across hybrid environments with environment-specific parameters and rollback approaches.
• Guide teams on best practices in ADO.NET data access patterns, error handling, and connection management.
• Partner with QA to define test strategies, performance benchmarks, and validation approaches.

Job Summary

Design and deliver robust end to end solutions using Net Programming with expertise in C Sharp Net ADO NET SQL Server Net Core and ASP Net Core for complex enterprise systems in a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define architecture standards ensure performance security and scalability and guide implementation teams across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable secure and maintainable application solutions using Net Core and ASP Net Core to support complex business processes and long term product evolution

• Design logical and physical application architectures that optimize interaction between C Sharp Net services data access layers and SQL Server databases for performance and resilience

• Define integration patterns and interfaces for internal and external systems ensuring reliable data exchange and alignment with enterprise architecture standards

• Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams models and technical documentation to ensure shared understanding across engineering and stakeholder teams

• Review solution designs and code implementations to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines coding standards and nonfunctional requirements such as performance and security

• Collaborate with product owners business analysts and engineering teams to translate business requirements into feasible and sustainable technical architectures

• Optimize SQL Server database schemas queries and indexing strategies to enhance application responsiveness scalability and reliability under high transaction volumes

• Guide development teams on best practices in ADO NET data access patterns error handling and connection management to improve robustness and maintainability

• Evaluate emerging tools frameworks and patterns in the Net ecosystem and recommend practical adoption paths that align with organizational technology strategy

• Partner with quality engineering experts to define test strategies performance benchmarks and validation approaches that ensure high quality releases in day shift operations

• Support deployment and configuration of applications across hybrid environments by defining environment specific parameters monitoring strategies and rollback approaches

• Mentor team members on architectural thinking design tradeoffs and implementation patterns while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

• Contribute to reusable components templates and reference implementations that accelerate delivery and improve consistency across multiple Net based projects

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive hands on experience of at least ten years in designing and implementing enterprise applications using C Sharp Net Net Core and ASP Net Core in hybrid work models

• Possess strong practical knowledge of ADO NET and SQL Server including query optimization transaction management and database design for large scale systems

• Apply solid understanding of software engineering practices including object oriented design design patterns and clean coding principles to produce maintainable solutions

• Exhibit experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments collaborating closely with cross functional teams during regular day shift schedules

• Show ability to analyze complex functional and nonfunctional requirements and convert them into clear modular and scalable architecture blueprints

• Utilize excellent communication and documentation skills to articulate architectural decisions risks and tradeoffs to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

• Bring exposure to cloud ready and container friendly architectures enabling future migration of Net applications to modern hosting platforms when needed

• Display familiarity with security best practices in web and service development including authentication authorization data protection and secure coding standards

Certifications Required
