Roles and Responsibility
Must Have
- Deep experience with KubernetesCSI driver architecture
- Strong background in storage co-existence Ceph, Rook-Ceph, or equivalent alongside a second storage provider
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent
- Proficiency in Python/Shell for architecture validation and automation scripting
Mandatory Skills
- 15+ years incloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems architecture
- Deep experience with Kubernetes CSI driver architecture (controller plugin + node DaemonSet model)
- Strong background in storage co-existence - Ceph, Rook-Ceph, or equivalent alongside a second storage provider
- Hands-on with OpenStack or StarlingX/WRCP distributed cloud architecture
- Strong IaC background - Terraform, Ansible at scale
- Proficiency in Python/Shell for architecture validation and automation scripting
- Experience leading technical teams in Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Direct PortWorx PX-CSI or NetApp Trident CSI deployment experience
- Ericsson ENM, WRCP, or StarlingX platform familiarity
- OS hardening / STIG security posture experience
Key Responsibilities
- Own the High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for the CSI integrations
- Define the distributed Kubernetes topology: controller/worker node roles, etcd HA configuration, and network segmentation strategy
- Design the StorageClass, StorageBackend and CRD architecture
- Lead architecture review sessions with internal and client architects
- Define CN Inetworking design (Calico, Multus, VLAN/VXLAN) for separating storage, management, and workload traffic on a multiple node cluster
- Establish the CSI driver deployment model: controller plugin vs. node DaemonSet placement on worker nodes
- Define acceptance criteria and technical Definition of Done for each sprint deliverables and align with client Architects and Technical teams
- Conduct code and design reviews across the engineering team
- Drive the architecture documentation associated with the project
- Serve as the technical escalation point for P1/P2 engineering blockers
