Qualifications

  • Only candidates graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance or related non-engineering disciplines) are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates pursuing or holding professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, CMA, CS, ACCA, FRM, or any similar equivalent course are not eligible.
  • BE/B.Tech, Postgraduate, and Master’s degree holders are not eligible.
  • Demonstrate strong English communication skills (written, verbal, and comprehension).
  • Are proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
  • Learn quickly and process information with ease.
  • Possess attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and natural curiosity.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and perform well under tight deadlines.

  • Search, collect, and verify data of basic and intermediate levels of complexity.
  • Attend to internal/client queries and requests to ensure data captured is aligned with data methodologies and policy guidelines.
  • Quickly learn our research methods and process standards to ensure productivity, quality, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with your team, cross-functional teams, and external parties to resolve data issues.

Morningstar is looking for an Apprentice, an entry-level opportunity to join our Data and Operations group. This role will help you gain practical experience by working with diverse datasets, including public equity filings, private market transactions, ESG taxonomies, Managed Investment Data (Funds), and reference entity data. You'll build your knowledge of investment management, grow your skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI, and benefit from structured training to support your growth, setting you up for long-term success.

This position will be based in our Mumbai office. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Mumbai. Candidates in this role may need to work in shifts, including night shifts.

Work Location

6-12 months

Stipend
Willingness to work in shifts
  • Shift 1: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Shift 2: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Shift 3: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Shift 4: 8:30 PM - 5:30 AM

Working Days: Monday to Friday (5-day work week)
