Itron is hiring an Apprentice to support Supply Chain Analytics and Business Operations, ideal for recent graduates or students graduating in 2025. The role focuses on data analysis, invoice extraction, and reporting within a technology-enabled energy sector.

Hybrid work model with Monday/Tuesday in-office requirements. You will collaborate across procurement, supply chain, finance, and operations, learning best practices while shaping automation and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support supply chain reporting, analysis, and business performance tracking.
• Assist in extracting data from supplier invoices and validating invoice information for accuracy.
• Perform invoice data extraction from PDF and scanned documents while maintaining structured records.
• Verify extracted invoice details including supplier information, invoice dates, amounts, taxes, PO references, and payment terms.
• Support purchase order, inventory, supplier, and procurement data analysis.
• Maintain and update supply chain datasets, spreadsheets, and reporting templates.
• Assist in creating dashboards, presentations, and business reports for stakeholders and customers.
• Identify data quality issues and collaborate with business teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Document business processes, reporting requirements, and SOPs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, finance, and operations teams on ad-hoc analytics.
• Learn and apply supply chain best practices, processes, and reporting methodologies.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice to support Supply Chain Analytics and Business Operations activities. This role is ideal for recent graduates from non-engineering backgrounds who are interested in building a career in supply chain, procurement, operations, and business analytics. The Apprentice will assist with data analysis, reporting, invoice extraction processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining hands‑on exposure to supply chain functions within a technology company serving the Utilities & Energy sector. The ideal candidate demonstrates a customer‑centric mindset, accountability, authenticity, agility, collaboration, and a passion for innovation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support supply chain reporting, analysis, and business performance tracking activities.

• Assist in extracting data from supplier invoices and validating invoice information for accuracy and completeness.

• Perform invoice data extraction from PDF and scanned documents while maintaining structured records for reporting and audit purposes.

• Verify extracted invoice details including supplier information, invoice dates, invoice amounts, taxes, purchase order references, and payment terms.

• Support purchase order, inventory, supplier, and procurement data analysis activities.

• Maintain and update supply chain datasets, spreadsheets, and reporting templates with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.

Eligibility Requirements

• Recent graduate with strong academic performance.

• Work Model: Hybrid. Employees are required to work from the office every Monday and Tuesday, with additional in‑office days as needed to support business priorities, team collaboration, and operational requirements.

• Availability: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST.

• Strong interest in supply chain, procurement, business operations, and analytics.

• Experience working on academic projects involving business analytics or process improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while contributing innovative ideas and continuous improvement initiatives.
