Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to join our fast-growing analog/mixed-signal IC team in Bengaluru.

You will work with design engineers and customers to develop power management ICs and system-level solutions for digital consumer, automotive, and networking applications, with some travel within the region. The role involves technical support for customers and sales channels, coordinating with factories and design centers, and leading joint development efforts.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years in analog power management electronics or FAE roles.
• Excellent communication skills in English and local language.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Customers & Sales Channels across territory.
• Coordinate technical matters with Factory in California and Hangzhou/Chengdu as needed.
• Manage Joint Development Programs with Customers.
• Identify new potential customers and opportunities for product applications.
• Lead technical discussions and hands-on demos, including EVAL kits.
• Develop and deliver technical training for internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with customers on system architecture design and troubleshooting.
• Communicate with HQ for new product promotions.

Job Description

Join as an Application Engineer for a fast-growing Analog / Mixed-signal Integrated Circuit Company, Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. Work with Design Engineers and customers in developing power management IC’s and systems level solutions for digital consumer AV, digital imaging, PC peripherals, portable handheld, networking and automotive. This includes new product specification contributions, and customer application support in the field. The individual will support outside sales representatives at customer accounts within a geographic location. This position will involve some travel within a specific region.

Essential Functions

• Provide technical support to Customers & Sales Channels Partners throughout territory.
• Ensure coordination of technical matters with the Factory in California and design center in Hangzhou, Chengdu as needed
• Manage Joint Development Programs with Customers.
• Discover new potential customer , application, and opportunities with introducing right products
• Communicate with HQ for new product(s) promotion activity
• Bring new product ideas for future business development
• Collaborate with customers on system architecture design and troubleshooting.
• Lead technical discussions and hands-on demonstrations, including emerging technology Evaluation kits usage.
• Develop and deliver technical training for internal and customers.

Required Experience

• 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in analog power management electronics or Design and testing or as a Field Application Engineer in semiconductor industry.
• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
• Fluent communication skill (oral/written) in local language.
• Oral / written proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal team and customers.
• Willingness to travel to support customer sites as needed.
• Self-starter, self-motivated.
• Ability to operate under minimum supervision.

Desired Skills

• Experience in design power electronics circuit (experience in DC/DC: PMIC with I2C or PMBus and Automotive work exp is mandatory, in Motor driver is preferable).
• Understanding of most common power supply architectures, and DCDC converter control loops operation.
• The ability to develop strong relationships with assigned customers.
• The ability to evaluate electronic performance of EVB and customer boards on bench.
• Demonstrated leadership in customer-facing technical support roles.
