Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Chennai seeks a committed software professional capable of working in a fast-paced environment both in teams and individually.

The role focuses on analyzing current vulnerabilities, establishing coding standards, and driving secure, scalable development across global teams. You will partner with QA, support and architecture groups to test, deploy, and maintain applications, infrastructure and releases, while driving POCs, risk controls, and compliance with safety and soundness

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Responsibilities

• Analyze current vulnerabilities in system and propose and establish common coding standards to avoid similar issues in future
• Liaise with QA, support and other teams involved with testing, deploying, and maintaining environment applications, infrastructure and releases.
• Capable of working flexible hours to collaborate with team across the globe
• Have an oversight of key strategic initiatives within safety and soundness domain
• Support the Architecture team in the formulation of best practice and apply agreed methodologies
• Must be able to drive technical POCs and establish a template for Development Teams to follow
• Responsible for the complete process of providing technology solutions (across the design, modification and exit of products), including solutions provided from other teams or from third parties
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
