About the Role
We are looking for an Application Support DevOps Engineer to join our Technology team in APAC region. This role is ideal for candidates with 5+ years industry experience in DevOps and application support engineering.
You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain and improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems, while developing your skills in private cloud, automation, and production operations.
This is a hands-on role where you will gain exposure to modern DevOps practices and contribute to meaningful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical systems, applications, including in-house developed platforms.
- Participate in incident response, supporting resolution and documenting learnings.
- Help define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and reliability metrics.
- Perform deployments into production & non-production hosted environments.
- Help define and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for newly created environments and platforms under support.
Automation & Tooling
- Contribute to building tools and automation that reduce manual work and improve observability.
- Support infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with senior DevOps and engineering teams to implement reliability-focused solutions.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute suggestions for improvement.
- Develop expertise in cloud, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Support defect management, issue resolution, and maintenance of solution documentation
- Collaborate with engineering on solution design, data flows, and technical feasibility
On-Call & Support
- Participate in an on-call roster under supervision to gain experience handling production incidents.
What Were Looking For
Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years total industry Application Support and DevOps engineering experience.
- Familiarity with operational concepts and monitoring/observability practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
Technical Skills
- Implement, maintain and support private cloud Infrastructure and resources, ensure robustness, performance and security. Exposure in working with AWS or Azure or hybrid environments is a bonus.
- Strong and demonstrated private cloud experience with automation (Terraform)
- Strong Kubernetes /Argo CD/ Grafana experience
- Knowledge of Keycloak and Kafka, postgreSQL
- Ownership Engineer team CI/CD tooling and pipeline (Github action and Git)
- Helm (chart authoring and values management)
- GitOps workflow as a pattern app repo deployment repo Argo reconciliation
- Artifact repository (JFrog/Artifactory)
- Secrets management (Vault) and TLS/certificate handling
- Ingress and API gateway layer (APIgatewaysix)
- Observability: Prometheus, log aggregation, alerting (alongside Grafana)
- Partner with Security/Cloud Governance/Architecture on Platform security, compliance and cost management
- Good knowledge/experience with network / Linux OS / Docker / SQL Database
- Strong scripting language skill on Python/Bash
- AI Claude experience
- .Net, MS SQL server, Window Power shell background, Java background desirable
- Has worked with Bluedoor and AWS (desirable)
- Strong understanding of scalability, security, performance, and system integration requirements
- Strong knowledge of digital architectures, APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud platforms
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform and Ansible
- Networking fundamentals: firewalls, security groups
