Job summary

Citi in India, Maharashtra, is seeking an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst to lead application systems analysis and programming activities. You will manage development teams, provide technical oversight, and drive delivery of quality software.

The role combines hands-on coding with Core Java/J2EE, microservices, Spring Boot, and cloud-based frameworks, while applying agile methods and DevOps tools. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• Exposure to payment flows & payments integration solutions.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• SME in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects.

• Work with Java SpringBoot, IBM MQ, Maven, MongoDB; Volante knowledge is a plus.
• Expose Agile Methodologies and DevOps tools like udeploy, TeamCity, Jenkins, Cucumber.
• Design, code, test, document and implement application release projects.
• Collaborate with Program Management and Quality Control to meet schedules.
• Mentor mid-level developers and analysts; allocate work as needed.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and policy.

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
• Hands on coding with proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, micro services and cloud based framework.
• Experience in working on Java SpringBoot, IBM MQ, Maven, MongoDB. Knowledge of Volante is good to have.
• Good Exposure to Agile Methodologies and Devops tools like udeploy, Teamcity, Jenkins, Cucumber etc.
• Design, code, test, document and implement application release projects as part of development team.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
• Work closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Recommended Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
• Exposure to payment flows & payments integration solutions
• Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
